Climb on an ocean crag with fantastic views of the sea close to Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. GoVertical Mountaineering Adventures will teach you the basics of rope work, safety procedures, rock climbing techniques & how to belay a partner, it’s all you need to start climbing.
Suitable for both adults & children, no experience is necessary this Introductory course focuses on discovering your natural ability to climb. With various routes on the natural rock face, this comprehensive introduction to climbing is also a great way to progress if you've only been climbing in a climbing gym or on an artificial wall. GoVertical will supply all the climbing gear and instruction. |

After the 'bugs bitten' we'll guide you through the steps to get out on the rocks & carve up the crags on your own.
Spend a morning on local sport climbing crags focusing on sport leading. You'll leave with the skills to be an independent climber on any bolted route and would have had the opportunity to push your grades. The course is intense, gear, safety & technically oriented progressively building on the techniques and experiences gained on the Introductory Climbing course.
It’s also great if you’ve let your climbing gear get dusty in a cupboard and want a refresher course to brush up on the latest safety techniques and gear. If you havn’t got your own gear yet, GoVertical will supply all the gear for the course. Email & let us know when you want to go. |

Climb South Africa’s very first climbing route, on Towerkop in the Swartberg mountains just north of the spectacular town of Swellendam. Start off with a dramatic walk in , set up camp and then spend the next day or two climbing Tower Kop. Multiple Trad routes of varying grades, this is where the magic of Climbing started in South Africa. GoVertical provides all meals, gear guides and instruction. Suitable for the whole spectrum of climbers from beginners to advanced trad climbers seeking a challenge. |

TRADITIONAL CLIMBING INTRODUCTION - Out into the pristine Outeniquas or more sea crags for trad seconding, double ropes, stances, multi pitches, gear placement & rope skills. The course builds on your existing climbing skills and shows you how to climb on traditional, (unbolted) routes.
